Why Every Page Needs a Title Tag for AI to Cite It

Some of your pages have no page title. The title is the one line that names the page everywhere it is listed, quoted or cited, including by AI tools.

Pages have no page title

What this means

The page title is the text shown on the browser tab and as the blue link in search results. It is set in the code of the page and is separate from the heading people see on the page.

This problem counts the pages where it is empty or missing.

Why it matters for AI

When an AI tool cites a page, the title is the name it uses. A page with no title has no name, so it is harder to list, harder to cite and easy to pass over.

Fix it with AI Schema Gen

Every step below is in the AI Schema Gen dashboard, whatever your site is built with. For the fixes to reach your pages, your site needs to be connected first: connect your site.

  1. 1

    Open Fixes

In the menu on the left, click Fixes.

The left-hand menu with an arrow pointing at Fixes
  2. 2

    Find the card under Read

Scroll down to Read. The card ending have no page title lists the first few pages.

  3. 3

Give each of those pages a title

This is a change on your side. Page titles are set in your website builder or its SEO settings.

AI Schema Gen cannot make this change from the dashboard: it works on the structured data of your pages, not on the pages themselves.

  4. 4

    Check again

Go back to Fixes and click Check again. When every page has a title, this problem moves to Resolved.
