What feeds the score

Discoverability
Is AI even allowed to reach this page? Reads the page’s own indexing rules, where its canonical points, and which named AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and others) the site’s robots.txt lets in or turns away.
Readability
How cleanly can the page be parsed? Checks the title, meta description, language, social preview tags, heading order, image alt text, and how much of the page is real content versus boilerplate.
Understandability
What does the page say it is? Reads the Schema.org structured data, checks which identity fields are filled in, how complete the coverage is, and whether the pieces connect together instead of contradicting each other.

Questions
Is it free?
Yes. Reading a page, the score, and everything the extension shows you is free and needs no account. Signing in only adds the things that cost us money to run: a full site crawl, the six identity questions answered by a real AI model, and one-click fixes.
Does it send my page anywhere?
The first pass runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing. To validate schema and check entity signals it sends the structured data blocks it found plus a small summary of counts and true or false flags. It never sends the page HTML, the visible body text, form contents, cookies, or your browsing history. Full detail is on our Privacy page.
Does the page score replace my site’s AI Readiness score?
No. The extension scores the single page in front of you, right now. Your AI Readiness score is a property of the whole site, measured by a full crawl on aischemagen.com. When the site has had that full check, the extension shows the site score too, next to the page score, always dated, with a link straight to the report.
How is this different from the free site check?
The free check at aischemagen.com crawls your whole site and scores it across four questions, including one the extension cannot answer from a single page: whether an AI model describes your business correctly. The extension answers the narrower question instantly and for free: how ready is this one page, right now, including pages a crawler can never reach.
What permissions does it ask for?
Only the active tab, the ability to read that tab when you click the icon, and local storage. Nothing runs until you open the popup. It asks for no access to any other website.
