Why Your Website Needs a Sitemap for AI Crawlers
Your site has no sitemap. A sitemap is the list of your pages that you hand to a crawler. Without one, an AI tool finds only the pages it happens to reach by following links.

Your site has no sitemap
What this means
A sitemap is a plain file, normally at yoursite.com/sitemap.xml, that lists every page you want found. Our check looks for it in the usual places and in your robots.txt file.
This problem means we found none.
Why it matters for AI
Without the list, a crawler has to guess what exists by following links from your homepage. Anything not linked from another page is likely never found at all.
Our own check falls back to following links too, so on a site with no sitemap it may miss pages you care about.
Fix it with AI Schema Gen
Every step below is in the AI Schema Gen dashboard, whatever your site is built with. For the fixes to reach your pages, your site needs to be connected first: connect your site.
- 1
Open Fixes
In the menu on the left, click Fixes.

- 2
Find the card under Discover
Scroll down to Discover and find Your site has no sitemap.
- 3
Turn on a sitemap for your site
This is a change on your side. A sitemap is made by your website itself: most builders have one built in or a setting to switch it on, and a custom site needs one added by a developer.
AI Schema Gen cannot make this change from the dashboard: it works on the structured data of your pages, not on the pages themselves.

Check again
Go back to Fixes and click Check again. When your sitemap is live, this problem moves to Resolved.

On WordPress
WordPress has made its own sitemap at /wp-sitemap.xml since version 5.5, and SEO plugins such as Yoast SEO and Rank Math provide one too. If a WordPress site is reported, the sitemap has usually been switched off in one of those places.
Check it worked
Run the free AI readiness check again once your change is live. This problem should be gone from the Discover part of the report.
