Why Thin Pages Give AI Nothing to Read (Mostly Menu and Footer)
On some of your pages, most of the words are the menu and the footer. Very little is the page saying something of its own, so there is not much for an AI tool to read or quote.
In your report
Pages are mostly navigation and footer
What this means
Every page has two kinds of text: the parts that repeat across the whole site (the menu, the header, the footer), and the part that belongs to that page alone.
Our check measures how much of each page is its own. This problem counts the pages where the repeated parts outweigh the rest. Contact pages, galleries and pages with one short paragraph are the usual ones.
Why it matters for AI
AI tools skip the repeated parts, because they say the same thing on every page. What is left is all they have to learn from and quote.
A page with two sentences of its own cannot answer many questions, however good it looks.
Fix it with AI Schema Gen
Every step below is in the AI Schema Gen dashboard, whatever your site is built with. For the fixes to reach your pages, your site needs to be connected first: connect your site.
- 1
Open Fixes
In the menu on the left, click Fixes.

- 2
Find the card and click See affected pages
Scroll down to Read. The card ending mostly navigation and footer lists the first few pages.
Click See affected pages for the full picture of your pages.
- 3
Give those pages more of their own content
This is a change on your side. The words on a page are yours to write, in your website builder. Start with the pages customers land on most.
AI Schema Gen cannot make this change from the dashboard: it works on the structured data of your pages, not on the pages themselves.
- 4
Check again
Go back to Fixes and click Check again. When those pages carry more of their own content, this problem moves to Resolved.

Check it worked
Run the free AI readiness check again once your change is live. This problem should be gone from the Read part of the report.
